Ortega y Gasset Projects (OyG) is a non-profit artist-run curatorial collective and exhibition space in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Founded in May 2013 in Bushwick, Brooklyn,  OyG moved to Gowanus in February 2015. Ortega y Gasset is a non-profit organization run by a group of directors based in New York and other regions throughout the US. All directors are working artists and in addition to writing, curating, installing and doing administrative work to run OyG, their directorship enables them to connect with the community that OyG fosters to support their practices as painters, photographers, sculptors and writers. OyG is entirely run by working artists, and so recognizes that exploration is key to the sustainment of artistic vitality. Thus, we embark on an exploratory model where artists take the role of curator, critic and promoter. Working without specific intentions of commercial profit or an explicit curatorial ideology, the goal of OyG is to mount exhibitions that provoke interpretation and dialogue and bolster artistic community.   Contemporary Art Gallery – Australian and South East Asian Artists BLACKCAT Gallery is founded in Feb, 2016. This unique space in the heart of the Art precinct Fitzroy, aiming to support local emerging and establish contemporary artists and also showcase emerging South-East Asian artists in Australia. The space is unique and provides a flexible floor plan to cater for a variety of mediums and installations. Artists will showcase the high calibre work being created throughout Australia and South-East Asia. We promote international exchange shows for local artists and provide art education programs. It is leading organization in Macedonia that deals exclusively with the presentation, production and education in the field of contemporary art and curatorial practices by initiating and supporting theoretical research practices and projects that arise from the complex socio-political, economic and cultural context. The organization is dedicated to undertaking a critical examination and evaluation of the questions raised by contemporary artists, curators, architects, and theorists in relation to the contemporary socio-political framework in which their practices emerge.   AADK Spain is an artist-run platform that develops spaces for research and contemporary creation. With a focus set on experimental processes, its primary interest is to explore the notions of body, territory, and spatiality. The platform advocates the decentralization of culture and access to contemporary art in non-urban areas. It addresses local issues as means to understand global problems. Currently based in Centro Negra (Blanca, Murcia) it holds several programs among which its Artist Residency and Cruce Programs stand out. As a team, we believe that all artists we host are an active part of our platform. Therefore, we foster networks with other cultural and artistic enterprises, helping to promote their mobility on national and international circuits.

Durante nuestra formación académica aprendimos muchísimo sobre los medios impresos y con el avanzar del tiempo nos adaptamos rápida y fácilmente a las nuevas tecnologías. Lease Agreement is an artist-run and sometimes nomadic curatorial project by Adam Farcus. The gallery programing continues in the tradition of alternative art spaces by organizing conceptually rigorous, engaging work for exhibitions, screenings, performances, and art events. Lease Agreement partners with galleries, organizations, and utilizes public spaces to bring contemporary art to viewers. Currently based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lease Agreement’s programing is a continuation of the previous iteration of the space which spanned from October 2013 to August 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland. Co-founded by Adam Farcus and Allison Yasukawa, Lease Agreement Baltimore was a residential art space and curatorial project set in the front rooms of a row house.

PLUG PROJECTS (established in 2011) is a curatorial collaboration by four Kansas City artists who share the mission of bringing fresh perspectives and conversation to the local art community. Our goal is to energize artists and the public at large by exhibiting challenging new work, initiating critical dialogue, and expanding connections of artists in Kansas City as part of a wider, national network of artists. EULENGASSE is an artist-run space in Frankfurt am Main, that provides a platform for artists and those interested in contemporary art and culture, and is dedicated to representing contemporary art. Founded in 2003, EULENGASSE is open for discussion, independent of the art market and open to a wide variety of different and even controversial perspectives. For several years, EULENGASSE has chosen an annual theme and then organizes exhibitions and events based on this theme for the entire year. Artists are invited and the demands of contemporary art and cultural education are discussed and freshly interpreted. The artist-run space EULENGASSE is an important venue in the Frankfurt art community and shows different artistic approaches and positions in an informal, yet professional, environment. A special feature of EULENGASSE is the »project meeting«: a meeting of all interested members, which takes place once a month in two different formats. The members are mainly artists: painters, sculptors, graphic artists, musicians, actors, architects and designers, and they exchange artistic positions, determine the collective politics, conceive projects and prepare future exhibitions and events. The independent artist-run initiative kunsthallekleinbasel Switzerland was founded in an apartment inhabited by the artist, curator and art educator Jasmin Glaab in June 2014 in the center of Basel. The non-profit initiative functions independently from public funding and regularly participates in independent art fairs and festivals throughout Europe. Since 2014 the initiative has realized over 50 exhibitions in collaboration with more than 100 artists, historians, educators, photographers and other cultural professionals, accompanied by concerts, performative actions, educational and networking programs.
