Mothership NYC is a combined live-work space and presentation arena for international artists across multiple disciplines in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. Our converted industrial loft has three cabins for permanent crew members (all 30+ years-old female creatives) and two spaces for shorter-term visitors. As of December 2016, one of the short-term options is a PRIVATE LIVE-WORK SPACE for rotating Artists-in-Residence, which is available for periods from 1 to 3 months for $1550/month: a spacious, light-filled and high-ceilinged room divided into two separate sections. The living area has a loft bed, clothing rack, dresser, and a small sitting area. The studio has a desk, a large table, and empty walls to work on. There is an easel, too, as well as a great bike you get to use (please see images in second slide show at http://www.mothership.nyc/artist-residency/). General Information about the Opportunity: Located in the heart of the Lower East Side arts district, Con Artist Collective was established in 2010. Over 8 years CAC has grown into NYC’s largest artist-run studio and exhibition gallery with 600+ artists connecting online. Our residency program sees 20-40 emerging artists participating each season. Our studio residency allows artists 24/7 access to a 3,000 square foot mixed use art studio along with monthly residency showcase group exhibitions and monthly feedback sessions with a mentor. Fall 2018 is proud to host our own Jaouad Bentama as the group’s mentor. Jaouad is an accomplished fine artist from France working out of our shared studio since 2016. We also host monthly collective-wide art business group discussions, life drawing, skill share workshops and more!
Call for Artists – Artrooms Fair ROMA 2019 Artrooms Fair Roma has announced the dates of its 2nd Edition! The Fair will run from the 22nd to the 24th March 2019 at The Church Palace Hotel (Via Aurelia, 481, 00165 Roma RM, Italy). Artrooms Fair is the first international contemporary art fair offering free exhibition spaces to independent artists, innovating the way artists and buyers meet. We are now calling for independent artists from all over the world, from all different backgrounds and media. Room Art Application: Artists will exhibit in hotel rooms to be transformed in their own creative and intimate studios. It is a great opportunity to share your vision, meet collectors, curators, and to be scouted by galleries. Video Art Application The Video Art section will take place at the Auditorium Cinema Bachelet. Covering an area of 400sqm, the auditorium can seat 550 guests and is equipped with sophisticated audio and visual multimedia services, dedicated wireless internet connections and a Dolby surround system 7.1. We are happy to announce the open call for Spring/Summer 2019 KuBa-residency program,(Deadline for application: 15.12.18) KuBa: kulturbahnhof, Klein Warnow – A place of motion and emotion a particular program for inspiration, dialogue & cooperation, open to the challenges of our time. KuBa: kulturbahnhof is located on the site of a former train station in the town of Klein Warnow (Brandenburg), on the Berlin-Hamburg railrway. The residency program offers artists, writers and cultural scientists a place to work, create and experiment. The interaction with this unique location is an essential element of the project. The artistic directors of KuBa: kulturbahnhof are Sharon Horodi and Cheb Mika Kammerer. The two are artists, active in the field of video, photography, performance-art and creative writing. Both have many years of experience in curating exhibitions and artistic events, community based art projects and transcultural exchange programs. CrossingBorders exhibition – Ghent – Belgium – Open Call for members of the Global Art Project (GAP) Ron Weijers and Carl Heyward, both professional artist and curators who both have a long term collaborative background within the Global Art Project (GAP) community, see geographical boundary lines as unnecessary and obsolete, especially when considering the rich and diverse cultural makeup this world shares.
