Open call for Artist in Residence Program in Berlin 2019-2020 coGalleries is pleased to announce the open call for Artist in Residence Program Berlin for 2019-2020. As a contemporary art gallery with a beautiful space in the center of town, we are interested in production-oriented artists and diverse cultural agents like writers, researchers, curators and others interested in creative projects, research and collaboration within the contemporary arts. All residents and collaborators will get the chance to exhibit in one of our group- and/or solo exhibitions in our gallery in the city center (Mitte). How to Apply: Please apply by filling out the application form. Make sure to include a CV, as well as a minimum of 3 jpg images showing your artistic process and exhibition documentation. Granted your selection, these images might be used on our social media channels, e-mail campaigns, print invitations, websites and catalogues. File names should include exactly in this order your first and last name, the title of the work, the year and the photo credits. Applicants with own residencies and organizations that are looking for collaborators, please also apply or contact us via email. There are two residency opportunities: a studio only residency or a more extensive master residency with coaching, portfolio work and further. Studio residencies will be able to present the works in a studio opening. An interdisciplinary artist residency in suburban upstate of İstanbul
Mothership NYC is a combined live-work space and presentation arena for international artists across multiple disciplines in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. Our converted industrial loft has three cabins for permanent crew members (all 30+ years-old female creatives) and two spaces for shorter-term visitors. As of December 2016, one of the short-term options is a PRIVATE LIVE-WORK SPACE for rotating Artists-in-Residence, which is available for periods from 1 to 3 months for $1550/month: a spacious, light-filled and high-ceilinged room divided into two separate sections. The living area has a loft bed, clothing rack, dresser, and a small sitting area. The studio has a desk, a large table, and empty walls to work on. There is an easel, too, as well as a great bike you get to use (please see images in second slide show at http://www.mothership.nyc/artist-residency/). E T A J on WHEELS, a nomad art gallery, born through the outdoor extension of the physical space of E T A J artist-run space, based in Bucharest, invites artists around the world to exhibit in „KRAT3R” – a space marked by three square meters delimited by rock-walls in the crater of a volcano from Lanzarote, Conil town, Canare islands, Spain, having next coordinates: 28.973353, -13.662973. Those who will dare to respond to the challenge, are asked to document, post and tag „E T A J on wheels” (https://www.facebook.com/etajonwheels). KRAT3R is an intervention in the natural space of a volcano, conceived and made in order to generate further art manifestations in the spirit of land art. APPLY NOW – OPEN CALL for Artists in Exile for an Exchange & Residency Project at B.L.O. Ateliers in Berlin Deadline: Friday, February 21, 2020 HIER & JETZT: Connections is an exchange and residency program organized by artists for artists. The project calls upon international artists in exile who live in Berlin and seek a place for artistic production. The initiative, HIER & JETZT: Connections, defines exile as the involuntary loss of one’s social context and working environment in their country of origin for an uncertain period of time. Successful applicants are invited to work at B.L.O. Ateliers, in Berlin, for a period of three months. The project is complemented by a series of lectures, workshops, and discussions held by artists, experts, and researchers in order to create a space for dialogue, mutual learning and understanding. The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival is calling for proposals for Fringe 2021: Quiet Riot! The next edition’s theme of ‘Quiet Riot’ invites us to consider what resistance means today. Do protests necessarily have to be associated with destruction, or is there a place for quiet riots? We are looking for performance and live art works that will fall within that theme. Specifically, we are interested in original, process-driven, well researched works that prioritize social engagement and critical inquiry in the creation process. Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) is an artist run and operated urban artist residency program located in the neighborhood Hrom on the west side of Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. BAiR is a multi-faceted residency program allowing resident artists the freedom to explore the potentials of their practice while experiencing Macedonian culture through group related activities. While residing at BAiR, residents live in an open, communal style environment situated in a family oriented neighborhood. During their residency, residents are encouraged to embrace the local culture and to engage the surrounding community while living at the Art House. Residents also take part in maintaining Brashnar’s organic gardens at the Volkovo Project Space and participate in living a sustainable lifestyle. The residency is open to all visual artists and writers that strongly encourage work utilizing innovative and traditional forms of art making along with collaborations, artist led projects and socially engaged practices. KuBa: kulturbahnhof is located on the site of a former train station in the town of Klein Warnow (Brandenburg), on the Berlin-Hamburg railrway. The residency program offers artists, writers and cultural scientists a place to work, create and experiment. The interaction with this unique location is an essential element of the project. The artistic directors of KuBa: kulturbahnhof are Sharon Horodi and Cheb Mika Kammerer. The two are artists, active in the field of video, photography, performance-art and creative writing. Artists of all disciplines creating in any media are welcome to apply: dance, theatre, music, sound, performance art, writing, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, culinary, photography, video/film, animation, architecture, sculpture (any material), ceramics, mixed-media / multi-media, interdisciplinary, installation, and other new/alternative media.
