Artists of all disciplines creating in any media are welcome to apply: dance, theatre, music, sound, performance art, writing, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, culinary, photography, video/film, animation, architecture, sculpture (any material), ceramics, mixed-media / multi-media, interdisciplinary, installation, and other new/alternative media. Researchers, curators, and art critics are also welcome to apply. Open to emerging and established artists.
Mycophilia is a residency for artists who want to learn more about mushrooms. The residency will involve daily excursions into forests, biology laboratories, collections and farms with guidance by the knowledgeable people who work there. KuBa: kulturbahnhof is located on the site of a former train station in the town of Klein Warnow (Brandenburg), on the Berlin-Hamburg railrway. The residency program offers artists, writers and cultural scientists a place to work, create and experiment. The interaction with this unique location is an essential element of the project. The artistic directors of KuBa: kulturbahnhof are Sharon Horodi and Cheb Mika Kammerer. The two are artists, active in the field of video, photography, performance-art and creative writing. Both have many years of experience in curating exhibitions and artistic events, community based art projects and transcultural exchange programs. This will be our 9th summer at Arts Letters & Numbers and it is a great joy to announce Summer 2020. This summer we will have multiple programs, each with their own unique character, time frame and structure with lots of opportunities for collaboration. Running in parallel and close proximity, the programs offer space for people to pursue their questions in conversation with others and create emergent works within a creative community. Our Summer 2020 programs have been organized in continuity with our year-round programming, affording people the opportunity to continue their work beyond the summer season. Visuals created with purpose and intentional design. While they can be utilized differently, illustration and design have long gone hand in hand. Open Call for Participation in the 8th International Photography Festival PHOTO IS:RAEL invites artists to submit proposals for participation in the central exhibition at the 8th International Photography Festival, taking place in Tel Aviv in November 2020. 10-20 artists will be invited to present their work in the festival’s central exhibition, and will also be featured on the website and in the festival catalog. The selected artists’ works will also be published online and in the festival’s catalog. The artist ranked in the next 50 spots, who will be present in the festival will be invited to present their works in front of an audience of professionals in a special screening event during the festival. E T A J on WHEELS, a nomad art gallery, born through the outdoor extension of the physical space of E T A J artist-run space, based in Bucharest, invites artists around the world to exhibit in „KRAT3R” – a space marked by three square meters delimited by rock-walls in the crater of a volcano from Lanzarote, Conil town, Canare islands, Spain, having next coordinates: 28.973353, -13.662973. Those who will dare to respond to the challenge, are asked to document, post and tag „E T A J on wheels” (https://www.facebook.com/etajonwheels). KRAT3R is an intervention in the natural space of a volcano, conceived and made in order to generate further art manifestations in the spirit of land art. Mothership NYC is a combined live-work space and presentation arena for international artists across multiple disciplines in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. Our converted industrial loft has three cabins for permanent crew members (all 30+ years-old female creatives) and two spaces for shorter-term visitors. As of December 2016, one of the short-term options is a PRIVATE LIVE-WORK SPACE for rotating Artists-in-Residence, which is available for periods from 1 to 3 months for $1550/month: a spacious, light-filled and high-ceilinged room divided into two separate sections. The living area has a loft bed, clothing rack, dresser, and a small sitting area. The studio has a desk, a large table, and empty walls to work on. There is an easel, too, as well as a great bike you get to use (please see images in second slide show at http://www.mothership.nyc/artist-residency/).
