Mothership NYC is a combined live-work space and presentation arena for international artists across multiple disciplines in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. Our converted industrial loft has three cabins for permanent crew members (all 30+ years-old female creatives) and two spaces for shorter-term visitors. As of December 2016, one of the short-term options is a PRIVATE LIVE-WORK SPACE for rotating Artists-in-Residence, which is available for periods from 1 to 3 months for $1550/month: a spacious, light-filled and high-ceilinged room divided into two separate sections. The living area has a loft bed, clothing rack, dresser, and a small sitting area. The studio has a desk, a large table, and empty walls to work on. There is an easel, too, as well as a great bike you get to use (please see images in second slide show at http://www.mothership.nyc/artist-residency/). General Information about the Opportunity: Located in the heart of the Lower East Side arts district, Con Artist Collective was established in 2010. Over 8 years CAC has grown into NYC’s largest artist-run studio and exhibition gallery with 600+ artists connecting online. Our residency program sees 20-40 emerging artists participating each season. Our studio residency allows artists 24/7 access to a 3,000 square foot mixed use art studio along with monthly residency showcase group exhibitions and monthly feedback sessions with a mentor. Fall 2018 is proud to host our own Jaouad Bentama as the group’s mentor. Jaouad is an accomplished fine artist from France working out of our shared studio since 2016. We also host monthly collective-wide art business group discussions, life drawing, skill share workshops and more!
U10 Art Space announces its open call for the 2019 annual program. U10 is an artist run space in Belgrade, Serbia and supports the presentation, promotion and affirmation of young emerging artists from the region that work in the field of contemporary art. This year, a smaller part of the program will be formed through invitation while the rest will be selected through the open call. We also welcome international projects. Belgrade Artist in Residence (BAIR) is a program that is part of Center424, a nonprofit artist-run organization that supports artists, curators, and martial artists via one week to three month residencies taking place in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The program aims to foster cultural exchange between artists from different disciplines by encouraging dialogue and collaboration. BAIR was founded in 2012, and has since hosted various artists from all over the world. Moreover, the program established artist residencies and exchange programs in Konstepidemin, Gothenburg, Sweden, and also with Homesession in Barcelona, Spain. BAIR is a member of ResArtis and TransArtists, both of which are networks that promote worldwide residencies. Our residency program seeks a remote assistant and an on-site assistant for a period of two months or longer. The assistants will be experimental, creative, collaborative, and have a passion for contemporary art. The ideal candidates will also be able to work with a diverse community and have excellent communication skills. English language skills are required for both positions. CrossingBorders exhibition – Ghent – Belgium – Open Call for members of the Global Art Project (GAP) Ron Weijers and Carl Heyward, both professional artist and curators who both have a long term collaborative background within the Global Art Project (GAP) community, see geographical boundary lines as unnecessary and obsolete, especially when considering the rich and diverse cultural makeup this world shares.
