– Displaced – Open Lecture of Prof. Dr. Primož Šterbenc on the Refugee Crisis

We kindly invite you to the open lecture of Prof. Dr. PRIMOŽ ŠTERBENC – a Slovenian expert in International Relations and a great connoisseur of political situation in the Muslim world – which is organized by Slovenian cultural centre Berlin and it will be held on Saturday, 17.2., at 6pm in OKK.

Prof. Šterbenc will present the issues on the Balkan Refugee Route and the situation of Refugee Crisis in Europe, in the world and in the Middle East. The lecture is connected with the current exhibiton in OKK – ‘Displaced’, which presents images and film on Balkan Refugee Route.

He has recently focused his research on Islam, political, religious and scientific-philosophical-theological history of the Muslim world, contemporary aspects of the Muslim world (including relations between Shia and Sunni branches of Islam), relations between the Muslim and the Western worlds, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, policy of the EU with regard to the Israeli-Arab conflict, problem of Islamist terrorism, and geopolitical and security situation in Eurasia and Africa.
