In the performative installation Het Binnenhuis (The Interior), the central role is played by the spatial structure of the house. For two nights the house is taken over by 16 performers. The performers are not aiming at a theatrical spectacle but they focus on an atmosphere of domestic reality, according to strict rules, and fitting in the specific room they are in. Their movements are by and large predefined, and are finally worked out in improvisations.
The performative installation is a transition zone between the public and the private, a territory where some spaces are closed and others are temporarily opened to visitors. During these two nights everybody is welcome, but not all the time and not everywhere.
Performing: Kerem Akar, Liesje van den Berk, Carlinda Boom, Geerten Ten Bosch, Vladimir Bovt, Jos Deuss, Frits Dijcks, Ienke Kastelein, Frans van Lent, Marianne Linger, Hans van Lunteren, Jackson Moore, Leonard Passchier, Jello Reumer, Ieke Trinks, Iris van Wijk, advice: Pe Bies, video registration: Steef van Lent.
