GlogauAIR is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 by the artist Chema Alvargonzález with the intention to create a meeting point between artists from all disciplines to work in collaboration, expanding their practice in terms of material, format, and style.

You are invited to take part in the different activities and collaboration projects organized in or by GlogauAIR, including artists talks, interviews, studio visits and exchange programs with other residences and institutions, as well as a welcome lunch to get introduced to GlogauAIR’s community. In addition, you will be included in the resident artists’ database accessible on our homepage.
GlogauAIR´s Open Studios Exhibition offers residents direct contact with the local artistic scene and a dialog with the public. In preparation for the Open Studios exhibition, GlogauAIR will edit a catalog with information and photos of every resident artist, as well as a flyer and press release. Artists are expected to present a specific project proposal that can continue or complete an ongoing practice in any discipline, but must be timed to fit within their chosen residency and be accomplished within their residency period (three or six months)
Artists from all over the world and from almost every discipline stay at GlogauAIR for three or six months to develop their artistic projects. GlogauAIR is made up of an entire historic building in Berlin, with 13 studios distributed over three floors. The studios have high ceilings and lots of natural light.
All applications must be made online via the application form on our website. Artists will have the opportunity to provide us with their artists statement, a project description and up to 10 images or supporting material. Detailed instructions are provided on our website.
The residential live/work studio costs 600 euros per month for a minimum of three months and there is program fee of 900 euros paid once per three months to support the exhibition, technical staff, and catalog production. Artists are encouraged to apply as early as possible and to seek funding opportunities, of which there is an extensive list of relevant ones on our website.
