KIRA offers creative activities for the home-bound
ST. ANDREWS, NB – Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts (KIRA) has adopted a creative approach to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Working together with their alumni from around the world, the artist residency is offering quick and accessible creative activities online, that anyone can do at home while being in lockdown.
Activities range from drawing to sculpting to singing and writing. KIRA’s Art Director Geoff Slater has created a new program to adapt to these challenging times. KIRA has a large supportive creative network that has been called upon to assist in this endeavor. The KIRA alumni did not hesitate after being asked to immediately start sending tutorial videos that are quick, engaging and, most importantly, do not require the purchasing of art supplies. So, everyone can stay home and stay safe.
The ‘KIRA Creative Quarantine’ series is visible on KIRA’s Facebook and Instagram pages as well as on the website at www.kingsbraeartscentre.com/tutorials. New videos are posted every Tuesday and Friday.
