Juxtapose Art Fair is a new, non-commercial fair that aims to showcase and celebrate the diversity of the artist-run sector.
We are now seeking applications from artist-run initiatives to participate in the first edition of Juxtapose Art Fair on June 4-6, 2021 in Aarhus, Denmark. Initiatives may include artist-run exhibition spaces, artist collectives, independent art publications, online platforms, or other artist-run organizations and collaborative projects.
We invite you to propose a project that best represents your initiative’s unique profile. Projects can be in any media, including performative, interactive, and temporal artworks and activities. What could you show, or do, or make at the fair, that would most effectively communicate your initiative’s core mission?
Selected initiatives will be exhibited in Godsbanen’s Rå Hal, a former freight train garage. Think outside the booth – how could you best utilize this space to showcase your initiative?
Proposals are not binding, as we expect projects to evolve in the lead-up to the fair.
Deadline
September 1, 2020
Eligibility
Non-commercial, contemporary, visual art initiatives, run by artists and/or independent cultural workers. Individual artists not connected to a larger initiative may register for the conference that will be held in connection to the fair, but are ineligible to exhibit in Rå Hal.
