It’s a plural itinerary where one can discover different disciplines and artworks displayed in public and private spaces. The next edition will take place on May 2020, the open call is usually in January or February. INCART was created 13 years ago in Inca, Mallorca, as an initiative of a group of people related to art. Created in Barcelona, RICE is a Reversing Initiative to Counter the Exclusion of females and other discriminated groups in the art world. As an independent curatorial platform, our mission is to bring visibility and promote the sale of fresh and unique artworks by emerging and mid-career artists from around the world. Yes, we favor female-identifying artists and artists pertaining to other discriminated groups but we do not exclude male artists, especially those living in situations of marginalization or discrimination. Our goal is to reverse the current state of favoritism towards the traditionally privileged in mainstream contemporary art, by exercising positive discrimination while still leaving room for male artists and curators to be a part of this initiative. To that end, we launch quarterly open calls to discover artist to be featured in our art magazine and in the exhibitions we organize at established galleries across Europe.

The Lacuna Festivals are an annual International Contemporary Art Festival delivered in the Canary Islands, Spain. Over the last three years our festival has grown in popularity and now runs for a whole month during the summer. In 2020 the festivals exhibited 653 artworks, from 210 artists, coming from 53 countries around the world and held 45 live events. There was no fee for artists to partake or exhibit and all of our exhibitions and events were completely free to view or participate in, encouraging the public to engage in Contemporary Art from around the world. We aim to continue to grow our reach around the world and continue to bring international artists together. The Lacuna Festivals aim to: Promote quality, contemporary (and sometimes challenging) art to communities isolated from mainland Europe which, therefore have limited access to Arts & Culture. Offer something local/translocal for both resident and visiting artists through stimulating local creatives and the local culture. To enlarge creative networks and provide a point of contact for the exchange of knowledge, the sharing of ideas and the blossoming of creativity. Develop new ways to exhibit, curate and organise large scale arts events through the use of crowdsourcing for […]

Tangent Projects is a curatorial initiative set up to work with national and international emerging and mid-career artists on site responsive exhibitions and projects. With a desire to add multiplicity to the current art archetype, Tangent Projects endeavors to showcase exemplary works in a variety of different media and platforms – including books, exhibitions, performance and online commissions. Our intent is to invite artists to explore “tangents” or diversions within their practice. In offering the opportunity for digressions to be pursued, ideas and processes that might normally have been discarded in favor of the main discourse will have the potential to reach a conclusion. Without a commercial bias and with experimentation encouraged, Tangent Projects proposes the prospect for artists to develop the deviations within their artistic dialogue. In simple terms, to give artists the leeway to “go off on a tangent”. In early 2019 there were some big changes, Tangent Projects became a cultural association and rented an old garage in the Santa Eulalia area of L’Hospitalet del Llobregat, We then spent the following few months setting up a small artist driven space with the remit of not only offering an exhibition space for artists to experiment with their practice […]

AADK Spain is an artist-run platform that develops spaces for research and contemporary creation. With a focus set on experimental processes, its primary interest is to explore the notions of body, territory, and spatiality. The platform advocates the decentralization of culture and access to contemporary art in non-urban areas. It addresses local issues as means to understand global problems. Currently based in Centro Negra (Blanca, Murcia) it holds several programs among which its Artist Residency and Cruce Programs stand out. As a team, we believe that all artists we host are an active part of our platform. Therefore, we foster networks with other cultural and artistic enterprises, helping to promote their mobility on national and international circuits.
