ArtConnect is a global community that celebrates and supports arts & culture Our Story 10 years ago, ArtConnect began as a local Berlin art blog, focused on helping new artists navigate the art world and meet new people in Berlin. Today, ArtConnect is one of the world’s largest online communities of art and art professionals. A place to connect with other artists, collectors, curators and galleries. Our mission is to democratize the art world. We envision a space where artists are able to build their own online fan base, as a way to shift the power balance from the “ gatekeepers” to the creators. By putting the power in the hands of the artists, we will remove the high barrier of entry, to allow the art world to become a more accessible, inclusive and engaging place for newcomers and veterans alike.Be part of a community that is purpose-built to empower artists. If we can work together, we can create a new community of art culture that will help everyone understand the essential contribution that the arts make to our lives. Join the revolution

Small presses, university journals, and literary magazines have long provided publication opportunities to visual artists for their cover and editorial images. Their traditional freedom from advertiser control has allowed them to provide a home to work that is challenging or confrontational. Although they welcome visual art, such publications’ primary modus is text and the imagery is often sprinkled among the stories, several artists are typically included in a single issue, and the number of works from any one artist is sometimes quite limited. Non-profit Dek Unu Magazine focuses on the visual, providing space for one artist at a time to show adventurous work in depth, themed and curated by the artist alone. During the publication month, each featured artist is promoted extensively on web and social media. submission period deadline is the 20th day of each month. All portfolios are juried together and all respondents are notified of results as soon after that as possible. Complete guidelines: https://www.dekunumag.com/submit

10dence gallery presents, creates, explores, nurtures and promotes the art that happens when connections are made and knowledge is shared – across the boundaries of the established art-world institutions and their markets. Artist run 10dence gallery currently represents an international selected group of 15 artists in an alternative manner, organizing exhibition projects within the Netherlands and Belgium. 10dence gallery is coordinated and curated by the Dutch multi-disciplinary artist Ron Weijers. His artistic and organizational involvement with 10dence gallery within international operating art communities, networks and art platforms offer an inspiring asset to the art practices of all involved. His collaboration with GAP – Global Art Project as run by founder and curator Carl Heyward would be a highly inspiring example. GAP is an international network of mixed media artists who collaborate, research, develop, inspire, tease, trigger, communicate and exhibit together. One of the most intriguing aspects he became confronted by within his collaboration with GAP would be his involvement within the frag collaboration process. Mixed-media works derived from the exchange between members of GAP, relinquishing responsibility or ownership going beyond the original intention of an image or idea broken down into fragments (frags) resulting in a deconstruction, a re-ordering of […]
