OPENART is a contemporary public art biennial taking place for three summer months in Örebro, Sweden. The city center is temporarily transformed into a huge outdoor art arena creating unconventional encounters between the art and the audience. Participating artists are working outside the traditional frames with an opportunity to work big, outdoors and temporary. The exhibition invites a broad and curious audience to experience the art without an admission fee and regardless if they are acquainted with art or not.  

The International Biennale of Performance, Collaborative and Participatory Arts means to shift: to be movable, exchange, modify, transfer… the crux includes the shifting of minds, theories and practices. Grappling with the unconventional and new ways of working. Not being afraid of experimentation and pushing past any stagnant boundaries. Performance art is new within the canonical context of art history. Therefore, [SHIFT: ibpcpa] provide a platform for artists to interpret and present work, for an international biennale based on ‘junction-making’ and ‘networked’ performances which enable an exclusive focus on performance practices including collaborative and/or participatory elements between artists and other non-art disciplines.

  Helping artists gain exposure during art fairs, We show artists’ works on our Art Display outside art fairs. We hope to include as many artists as possible to help them gain exposure before the eyes of art collectors, art experts and art lovers attending the art fairs. Our display is placed feet away from the entrance to art fairs.     ** We don’t take commissions on any sales generated by the art display. No works need to be shipped as images and artists’ name and Instagram contact is displayed along with images of works. There is a submission fee of $55 and a participation fee if selected. We want to offer an opportunity to all artists who may not be available or cannot travel to show their work, thus this is open to artists from around the world. This is also a good option for artists who cannot access the high fees and commission fees as well as shipping expenses that are associated with art fairs and art exhibits.

  Since 2000 FILE is a non-profit cultural organization that has been promoting exhibitions, workshops and gatherings that seek to investigate the appropriations of the technologic media in artistic accomplishments. With annual exhibitions in São, in addition to participation in national and international events, FILE is the biggest electronic art event in Latin America. For 2020, artists and researchers can submit their works in the main categories: Interactive Art, Digital Language, Electronic Sonority, Workshops, Symposium and Led Show.  

  Charlotte New Music is an organization promoting Charlotte’s growing reputation as a creative center for contemporary music and arts since 2012. CNM presents year round educational experiences, compelling performances, and innovative collaborations across many genres and artistic disciplines.

Institut for (X) is a culture, business and education platform founded in 2009. It is an independent and not-for-profit culture association arising from citizen initiatives. The (X) is continuously redefined by the members of the platform, which include: 250 + active members 90 studios & workshops 50 businesses 25 associations The outdoor spaces and park areas are public and we invite everyone to use and co-produce them. Mission: Best possible neighborhood for all. Facilitate and enhance cultural activities, combining artistic creativity with business, public debate and public education. A dynamic organization and a laboratory for urban experiments, where initiatives grow organically. Organization: Everyone at (X) pay rent and organize through neighborhood meetings. The administration is reduced to an absolute minimum, and everybody are janitors. The platform produces events and products of cultural and commercial nature, with an estimated yearly turnover of DKK 20 mill.

  The Platforms Project – Independent Art Fair (Athens, Greece) is an international artist-run art fair which has been createdsince  2013, and it is an annual international meeting of artist groups-platforms. It is an international exhibition, which aims to map how art collectives work, and create channels of communication and cooperation with other countries. The project help to promote the various artists’ groups, collectives, platforms and independent art spaces of a non-commercial (non-profit) orientation which operate in unconventional ways, managing to establish unexpected debates on art. It is an Art Fair for artist’s platforms-groups that produce works or projects together, artist-run galleries and other artists’ initiatives.  

Picasso Pupils is an art society with the branch in India and in Slovakia whose main mission is to provide a platform for cultural exchange. The main aim is to use art as a language between diverse cultures. The organization arrange art residency programmes, exhibitions and educational activities in India and in Slovakia which share the ideas of togetherness between diverse cultures, preservation of traditional and contemporary art and spread the art education and social awareness through art. The ZK/U ZK/U seeks to develop projects, co-produce knowledge and share values created through exchanges. ZK/U does not offer a fixed set of ideas and principles for its fellows. Rather, individual projects and needs shape what could be described as a continuous formation. Instead of letting the ‘final product’ constrain the possible routes that a practice might take, ZK/U focuses on the processes that come from, and feed into, the particular contexts of the fellows’ practice, whether they be locally-defined situations or international discourses. THE ORGANIZATION BEHIND ZK/U: KUNSTREPUBLIK The ZK/U concept and practice were initiated by the artist collective and non-profit organization KUNSTrePUBLIK e.V.. The association managed to become the owner of the former railway depot and holds a 40 year lease on the ground. KUNSTrePUBLIK‘s concepts and projects are equally focused on local involvement and global exchange. Coming from non-institutional backgrounds, the founders aspire to continue exploring ways of collaborating, researching and creating, that go beyond the lines of existing structures and preconceptions.   In collaboration with Inca Town hall and Inquietart artist association. We run a contemporary art festival in the center of Mallorca island. It’s a plural itinerary where one can discover different disciplines and artworks displayed in public and private spaces. The next edition will take place on May 2020, the open call is usually in January or February. INCART was created 13 years ago in Inca, Mallorca, as an initiative of a group of people related to art.   Coventry Biennial celebrates and promotes contemporary art, producing high quality exhibitions, activities and events in one of the UK’s most creative and industrious cities. This biennial festival is deeply connected to Coventry, its histories and wider context, but also retains an outward looking perspective, ensuring that the programme has wider appeal, significance and impact. Now working towards our second festival in 2019, we are also looking forward to contributing to Coventry taking the title of UK City of Culture in 2021 and we intend to play a significant part in attracting local, national and international audiences to experience the distinctive voices, rich culture and diversity inherent to Coventry.   Arts Letters & Numbers (ALN) is a non-profit arts and education organization dedicated to fostering creative exchanges across a broad range of disciplines including architecture, visual arts, theatre arts, film, music, humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Operating globally, regionally and locally, ALN seeks to bring together artists of diverse backgrounds, practices and ages. It conducts programs in educational and cultural institutions worldwide, collaborating with universities, high schools, museums, theatre companies, and community organizations. In addition, the organization runs an ongoing interdisciplinary artist-in-residence program, as well as educational workshops, sessions, exhibitions and events, taking place year-round at ‘The Mill’ located in Upstate, NY.  

  Artopus collective is a group of 13 interdisciplinary artists based in Tel Aviv, Israel. We share a studio space, produce exhibitions, workshops, lectures and cultural events within that space. Artopus aims to invite the public to explore their own creativity and get to know the local artists working in their midst.  

  THE BIENNIAL LAM 360° (Land Art Mongolia | acronym LAM) is a biennial art festival located in Mongolia. LAM focuses on Land Art as a form of spatial visualization of the relations between nature, culture and social policies. It strongly promotes freedom of expression in joining people and institutions from all sectors of Mongolian society by meshing their respective backgrounds and perspectives through collaboration and networking actions of regional and global scope. By doing so, the organization would like to incite an advanced discourse on cultural and social policy which will take up environmental and social sustainability with a strong emphasis on the most vulnerable sectors of society in Mongolia (such as: nomadic people | ethnic minorities | non-commercial cultural organizations and youth) in the broader perspective of cultural transformation in Central Asia. MNG 360° БАЙГАЛИЙН УРЛАГ МОНГОЛ is an Ulaanbaatar based independent, non-profit, contemporary art organization (NGO) with the purpose of raising awareness for issues as sustainability, nomadic culture, ecological decentralization and democracy by means of contemporary art as an impulse generator for civil society in Mongolia, with a main mission of promoting and realizing the Biennial Land Art Mongolia.

ITSLIQUID GROUP is proud to announce the CALL FOR ARTISTS for SURFACES FESTIVAL, that will be presented in Venice from 26-27th May 2018 to 25th November 2018 at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, Palazzo Ca’ Zanardi and other prestigious venues and historical buildings, during the same period of the BIENNALE ARCHITETTURA 2018 – 16th International Architecture Exhibition. SURFACES FESTIVAL consists of 3 main exhibitions focused on different themes: BODIES (May 26 – July 12, 2018), PLACES (July 27 – September 13, 2018), and SPACES (September 28 – November 25, 2018); an Experimental division dedicated to video-art and performing art and the Venice Architecture Academy. The festival analyzes the idea of human and urban places, how people live them and how they are modified in contemporary society. Every human being lives in a world in which surfaces shape their attitudes and behaviors, limiting freedom and creating a sense of alienation. The man reacts breaking the limits and finding a new way of life. We imagine a world of “liquid bodies and cities“, where differences create new possibilities, developing new structures, phisical, intellectual and spiritual.
