Aviário Studio is a creative hub in central Portugal. The studios are located in an old renovated aviary, surrounded by nature (situated in an enchanted valley), 2 km away from the center of Ferreira do Zêzere. The building has a common room for meals, a small library, three toilets – one adapted to reduced mobility – and five workshops of 100 m2 each, equipped to work in various techniques and materials, namely: Ceramics Printmaking Silkscreen Wood Metal Prototyping Analog Photography Book Binding Lacquering Vinyl Cut Our range of action focuses on: – Research and production in Visual Arts, Design and Communication – Artist Residencies Programs – Courses and Workshops

Build in 2016 on a splendid rural location in michoacan-state in a small place called Umecuaro a 35 minutes drive from Morelia city. It is the perfect place to create works of art. We are specialized in Stone Sculpture, Ceramics, Painting and Land-Art. We organize also Residencies for artists who want to use the studio’s facilities to create their art works or who are invited to produce Land Art on selected sites. The studio has a painting and drawing space, a gallery ,a cabin for residents and visitors with an accommodation for up to 6 persons with small kitchen and private toilet and shower, a separate ceramic studio with 2 gas kilns and a site for stone sculpture. We organize exhibitions and cultural events. We have been working here for 5 years now and have organized 3 Land Art exhibitions called “Proyecto en Sitio”, exhibitions of our works and other artists and musical, theatre and poetry events and community projects.

School of Commons (SoC) is a community-based initiative dedicated to the study and development of self-organized knowledge. We promote a broad, integrative understanding of knowledge, and focus on matters surrounding the production and mediation of knowledge with a focus on self-organized practices and knowledge decentralization. Located at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), the content and position of SoC is defined by our community rather than a predetermined program; research is conducted in our three labs (LEARN, MAPP, and READ), all of which are run as peer-based collaborative endeavours with annually changing members. Our labs bring together a wide range of participants, guests, and contributors who share their curiosity, skills, and visions. StoneZone: A meeting point for art professionals working with granite, or stone in general. StoneZone is located at the Westcoast of Sweden, in the centre of the Bohusgranite area. In the spring of 2010 two close friends and collegues in sculpture, Lukas Arons and Tom Flick, were able to purchase an old stone industry in the forrests of Bohuslän at the Swedish westcoast. Since than this neglected and abandoned place has been transformed into a living artspace with temporary exhibitions, artiststudio, stoneworkshop and blacksmithy. StoneZone’s dream to be able to open ‘artist in residence places’ for sculptors and possibly other disciplines will soon become a reality.

Ort Gallery is on a social mission to redefine contemporary visual arts by rejecting the sector’s exclusivity, centring access and equity, and by providing inclusive high quality art experiences. We support this mission with a care-centred approach and give artists, team members, and participants autonomy over their projects. History:  FORUM BOX is a non-profit artist-run gallery and a co-operative society, which was initiated in 1996 by sculptor Kain Tapper (1930–2004). Its main purpose is to maintain an art space in Helsinki and thus enrich and support the Finnish cultural life. Currently Forum Box co-op has more than 90 artist members, all of whom are prominent Finnish artists and actors in the field of contemporary art. The Forum Box building is owned by the city of Helsinki. Formerly a cold storage room, the space was renovated by the artists themselves in the years 1998–99. The renovation was designed by the architect and professor Juhani Pallasmaa. Forum Box was opened in June 1999 with an exhibition by Anthony Caro and Richard Serra organised together with Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. Art Aia – Creatives / In / Residence is an international art residency located near the comune of Sesto al Reghena in the north-eastern Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It’s a place for artistic production and research that focuses on the development of the creative process and facilitates cultural exchange across borders. History  Art Aia – Creatives / In / Residence is located three kilometers from Sesto al Reghena, in the locality of “Banduzzo” (which in local dialect means “Place Banned”) and from the mid-nineteenth century has been an agricultural center of the Morassutti Family. The small Church of St. Anthony of Padua  In the garden of Art Aia – Creatives / In / Residence stands the nineteenth century Church of St. Anthony of Padua, erected by the owners of these lands and it contains the contemporary altar-piece which represents Saint John the Baptist and Saint Antony of Padua.   Paadmaan (meaning ‘safeguard’ in Farsi) is an independent artist-run platform for contemporary art with an interdisciplinary approach established in 2018, based in Tehran. Through a variety of curatorial programming, Paadmaan seeks to expand on existing discourses surrounding contemporary art within various Iranian communities and supporting their input, transforming into output. Paadmaan aims to proceed networking locally and internationally and improve the collective in the contemporary art scene by focusing on research, dialogue and presentation. Paadmaan promotes these by organizing exhibitions, events, artist residencies, lectures, screenings, publications and various interactions throughout Iran and abroad.

Artistania is a non-profit organization which provides space and opportunities to encourage individuals with different cultural and social backgrounds to work together on artistic and socio-cultural projects. The association’s goal is to promote the idea that cultural differences can stimulate inspiration, creativity and mutual learning. Therefore Artistania creates possibilities to implement and present this idea through its projects.

FARM STUDIO ( International Artist Residency – India) FARM Studio International Artist Residency’s aim is to provide a rural, community-based open platform where creativity can unfold. Residents stay and create in a unique atmosphere and entirely new environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Relationships form between the artists coming from different geographical locations and varied social, religious and cultural backgrounds. Here, collaborations and experimentation is encouraged. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place. Farm Studio also promotes and celebrates the local community’s artistic and cultural identity while also introducing art and culture of others (Indian and International guests) back to the community. This intercultural exchange broadens everyone’s experiences and fosters art appreciation. Farm Studio International Artist Residency hosts artists from September to March each year, with accommodations available for up to 6-12 residents at one time. Artists of all disciplines creating in any media are welcome to apply: dance, theatre, music, sound, performance art, writing, painting, drawing, printmaking, textiles, culinary, photography, video/film, animation, architecture, sculpture (any material), ceramics, mixed-media / multi-media, interdisciplinary, installation, and other new/alternative media. Researchers, curators, and art critics are also welcome to apply. Open to emerging and established artists.

First Coat Studios is a not-for-profit creative-led outfit supporting new and engaging arts practices. We are guided by ethical principles, people and place and exist to make arts and culture more accessible and inclusive. FCS is a vital training ground for emerging and established practitioners that is focused on the production and exploration of new arts practices. Our core activities are exhibitions, workshops, residencies and events aim to generate discussion in contemporary art.

Gradient Projects is a contemporary art initiative based in Thomas, West Virginia. We are currently developing a project space at 218 East Avenue in order to host exhibitions, artists-in-residence, performances, concerts, films and other art-based experimentation.

  AADK Spain is an artist-run platform that develops spaces for research and contemporary creation. With a focus set on experimental processes, its primary interest is to explore the notions of body, territory, and spatiality. The platform advocates the decentralization of culture and access to contemporary art in non-urban areas. It addresses local issues as means to understand global problems. Currently based in Centro Negra (Blanca, Murcia) it holds several programs among which its Artist Residency and Cruce Programs stand out. As a team, we believe that all artists we host are an active part of our platform. Therefore, we foster networks with other cultural and artistic enterprises, helping to promote their mobility on national and international circuits.

Our mission is to increase the number and range of people experiencing the arts through access and participation and to further opportunities for artists and the local community across a broad range of art forms that will enrich, educate and provide enjoyment. Located in a warehouse in Marrickville we have a gallery, six artist studios, and an atelier space where access and participation is provided to the local community through tutored skills-based classes and untutored arts groups. Scratch Art Space is an artist initiative founded and managed by Artist Carmel Byrne.

Founded in 2007, Little Berlin is a cooperative exhibition space run by 11 artist members who curate the space using a collaborative, do-it-yourself ethic. Located in Kensington, Philadelphia, Little Berlin is known for its emphasis on month long curated exhibitions and unique, experimental programming. Members support one another to promote artists and ideas beyond our individual art practices. We are open to project proposals and collaborations with local and international community and arts organizations.   Founded in May 2014 by members of Little Berlin, the Annex is a raw, intimate space for performance, film, music, readings, lectures, and workshops. Like Little Berlin’s adjacent gallery, The Annex holds exhibitions and installations, but they are usually shorter than one month and based around programming events like Poems Night, live performances, and occasionally artists-in-residence.
