Opening in August 2018, Cool Change Contemporary will host a monthly program of exhibitions, supported by regular performances, screenings, workshops, residencies and other events from our venue on the first floor of Bon Marche Arcade in Perth’s CBD.
Cool Change Contemporary invites proposals from artists, curators, producers and collectives across art forms for projects commencing from August 2018, until February 2019. We welcome proposals encompassing critically engaged, experimental and resolved projects, from practitioners at all stages of practice.
This callout is also seeking resident practitioner(s) to take over our studio tenancy. This private, lockable, 7.5sqm studio space features 24 hour access, built-in storage, desk, and beautiful natural light overlooking Barrack Street.
As part of the culturally-rich Western Australian community we recognise that Cool Change has been established on the unceded lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. We also relish our position on the edge of the Indian Ocean, and within the Asia-Pacific region. Cool Change encourages proposals from practitioners of culturally diverse backgrounds, as well as those working regionally, interstate and internationally.
