“I mostly work with drawings and photographs, but also with slow image recording processes that might be generally termed heliography. These are processes tying the act of leaving traces to the recording of materials’ deterioration caused by sunlight exposure.
……………
One of the first techniques I tried was developing surfaces drawn in ball-point pen in the sunlight. After a few trials, I noticed that blue ball-point pen works like a photosensitive emulsion. And this was the most straightforward link between drawing and photography. Basically, each photograph set was equally a drawing.
……………..
On the back of each such photograph I write the exposure time. It may vary from one week in the summer, to one month in the winter. Waiting time has become, through this process, a time to reflect and prepare other images for development“, Răzvan Anton.
