PigPrints is inviting artists and art students from all over the world to submit their work for its 2022 Residency Prize competition.
The purpose of this prize is to give an individual artist the possibility of producing a limited edition etching and add their work to the existing list of artists that are already part of the gallery.
The selected artist will also be invited to spend a 2-week residency period in Milan to produce other work in our printshop.
BENEFITS / REWARDS
1,500 € monetary prize
2 weeks residency in Milan between March and December 2022.
The artist will retain 50% of the edition, which will be printed in close collaboration with the studio in no less than 30 copies.
All costs for the edition and residency (not including travel to and from Milan, food and medical insurance) will be covered by PigPrints.
APPLICATION
Artists are required to submit original black and white drawings (pen, pencil, charcoal, watercolor etc.), in view of producing an etching. It is not required for the entrants to have previous knowledge of intaglio techniques.
Every artist can submit up to three entries. Images should be at least 1920 px (longest side) and can be submitted as one of the following file types: jpg, jpeg, pdf, png.
