The collective Streunender Hund consisting of a fluid body of artists, also working as
architects, educators, historians, technicians and curators, striving to engage with contemporary
art especially in rural areas and extraordinary spaces.
The collective Streunender Hund is on the road in the cantons of Appenzell AR and AI. The aim is to bring culture to the countryside, the current is reversed. It invites guests, artists and cultural workers from the city to the countryside for exchange. The exhibitions take place project-related in selected, otherwise non-public spaces. The Streunender Hund consists of art and culture professionals in and from the two cantons of Appenzell. Additional artists are invited to each project and temporarily become Streunende Hunde. The collective also organizes the fairArtFair, fAF, where various art spaces from all over Switzerland present themselves.
